We had just waged our first offensive war in ages and the country was all gun hoe until the economic price of it dwindled down to our own pockets.

This was the summer before the shoe-in for President was Bill Clinton and the campaign slogan was, "It's the economy stupid".

Now here we are in the same predicament.

The high rollers are staying off the tables in Vegas and the major playa's in the hobby world aren't playing.

Well, they may still be playing, but not as much.

The hard part isn't the playing as much as the playing often, and being generous.  Now in the George Jr. era as we all slowly creep through this miserable summer and hoard our money like our last daughter to marry and leave us, we can count on nothing we did eight years ago. We find ourselves in the same GD situation.

But I must say that this crappy economic situation has created besides a richer than rich OPEC, a new form of tipping your provider. It is the:FULL TANK OF GAS!

My friend yesterday noticing my car was on E which frankly has been for months now, kindly offered to buy me a tank of gas.

Nothing says' love like a full tank today....

Alas, one good thing from today's uncertain economic woes....

You can fill up your favorite provider in another way....tip her a tank of gas!
